Since our last update Siarn has powered through March into April with bulk excavation and removal of fill, spraying of the perimeter piled walls and the cutting down and removal of concrete foundation piles allowing construction to meet several milestone dates.
With the basement excavation recently completed the focus moved to the formwork, reinforcement installation and concrete pouring of 36 pile caps, the lift pit and the crane base foundations, as well as installation of in ground services such as stormwater and sewer pits.
As the concrete blinding layer commenced the temporary access stairs and site accommodation were relocated to allow for the installation of the tower crane. It took a 100 tonne crane to erect the Siarn crane, four semi trailers to deliver, five crane crew and five traffic controllers.
Cru Construct now look ahead to the month of May, where they will commence construction of the basement two slab and vertical elements to the underside of basement one.
